Discord and Slack
How to get the webhook address of a Discord or Slack channel and use it as a destination, including pinging a role in Discord.
Updated October 17, 2026
Discord and Slack destinations post into one channel through a webhook address. They are part of every plan from Beginner on.
Discord
- In Discord, open the channel's settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks, and choose New Webhook.
- Copy the webhook URL.
- In LabelSentry, open Alerts, choose Destination, pick Discord and paste the URL.
- Choose who Discord should notify with every alert: nobody,
@everyone,@here, a role or a person.
To ping a role or a person, you need its ID. In Discord, turn on Developer Mode under Advanced, then right-click the role or person and choose Copy ID. The ID is 15 to 21 digits.
Slack
- In Slack, create an app for your workspace and turn on Incoming Webhooks.
- Add a webhook to the channel you want and copy its URL.
- In LabelSentry, open Alerts, choose Destination, pick Slack and paste the URL.
What an alert looks like
Each post names the artist and the change, shows before and after, links to Spotify and to the change in LabelSentry, and says when it was detected in each reader's own time zone.
